The Department of Biology and the Graduate Degree Program in Ecology at Colorado State University are excited to invite you to the Master’s defense seminar of Anna Hall.
The shortgrass steppe is a vital ecosystem that supports biodiversity and provides essential ecosystem services, including grazing for livestock. However, climate change is intensifying drought and deluge events, which may significantly impact the resilience of plant communities.
In her defense, Anna Hall will present her research on simulated grazing and its effects on shortgrass steppe plant communities under compound climate extremes. Her findings offer valuable insights into how land management practices can help mitigate the impacts of climate variability on this critical ecosystem.
