Additional Information

The Department of Biology and the Cell and Molecular Biology Graduate Program at Colorado State University are thrilled to invite you to the PhD defense seminar of Sam Ogden.

Understanding how plants defend themselves against pathogens is critical for advancing agricultural sustainability and food security. In his PhD defense, Sam Ogden will present his research on leveraging bacterial effectors from Pseudomonas syringae to identify the genetic factors that contribute to disease resistance in the model plant Arabidopsis.

Sam’s findings provide valuable insights into plant-pathogen interactions and may pave the way for developing disease-resistant crops, improving agricultural resilience in the face of global challenges.
