About
After graduating from Washington State University with a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Ecology & Conservation, Becca moved on to Colorado State University to pursue a Professional Science Master's degree in Zoo, Aquarium, & Animal Shelter Management. Her professional interests lie in behavior, conservation, and zoo development. She is working towards becoming a zoo director in a conservation-focused zoo. This past summer, she partnered with ZooTampa at Lowry Park in Tampa, Florida, to increase exploratory behaviors exhibited by their Malayan tiger by adding olfactory enrichment from predators and prey. In this role, she worked with the Behavioral Husbandry team to create and edit resident zoo animal well-being forms as well as create a master enrichment document. Please email her at rebecca.renner@colostate.edu to arrange office hours or schedule a meeting.
