About

Dr. Wangeline teaches full-time at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, WY, and teaches Mycology at Colorado State in the summer. She is passionate about biology as a subject and also about the success of her students both in science and in life. All of her teaching and mentoring surround the idea that an understanding of biology helps people to make informed decisions regarding topics ranging from medicine to agriculture to the environment.

Dr. Wangeline's research is focused on the evolution of selenium hyperaccumulation in filamentous fungi, the ecology of the White Nose Syndrome pathogen and pedagogy development for STEM undergraduate student success in the natural sciences. When not working, you will find her spending time with her family and friends enjoying the outdoors, reading, and traveling.
