About

I teach Evolutionary Biology, Principles of Animal Biology, and Animal Biology - Invertebrates at CSU. My background and primary research interest is studying how life evolved from simple to more complex through the major transitions in evolution and evolutionary transitions in individuality. My PhD research used the Volvocine Green Algae model system to understand how life evolved from single-celled to multicellular and the evolution of the genetic basis for cellular differentiation.
