I am a riparian plant ecologist interested in understanding the ecology of vegetation in river systems to guide conservation and restoration plans. I have conducted research in rivers of Spain, France, and Canada. Since 2014, studying riparian ecosystems in western U.S., with primary focus on management of invasive tamarisk and assessment of the effects of active revegetation of degraded floodplains.
