About
Hello! my name is Alyssa I am a AMP student currently studying Zoology at Colorado State University and have gained experience working in animal education, zoos, summer camps, and other educational settings. Most recently, I completed an Events and Education internship at Caldwell Zoo, where I gained hands-on experience with zoo education, lesson planning, and working with different audiences. My experiences have helped me realize that I want a career that combines my passion for animals with education, leadership, and conservation. I joined the PSM Program in Zoo, Aquarium, and Animal Shelter Management to build my leadership and management skills while learning more about the professional side of animal care organizations. My long-term goal is to become the head of an education department at an AZA-accredited zoo.
