About

I’m currently in my first year of the PSM program in zoo, aquarium, and animal shelter management, and an intern at the Brookfield Zoo in the marine mammal department. Prior to this, I received a Master of Science from the University of Miami in Marine Biology and Ecology. My research focused on educational and conservation outcomes of polar bear focused tourism in Churchill, Manitoba. I also have a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University where my undergraduate research focused on male vs. female biases in chimpanzee behavior research. Career-wise my goal is to eventually become the curator of a marine mammal department and then move into a zoo or aquarium leadership position. Outside of my animal care career, I’m the co-founder of a fund and venture studio focused on ocean startups, and the sole founder of a fintech platform for ocean investing.
