Lysi has been in the zoological field since 2013. She has worked at various facilities in California, Hawaii, Arizona, Texas, and Namibia. Her experience lies primarily in husbandry, training, volunteer management, and informal education with over 150 species of animals across most non-aquatic taxa. Lysi is interested in animal wellbeing, training, conservation education, and sustainability. As a PSM student, she hopes to expand upon her leadership skills and become a managerial candidate skilled in creating a positive work environment. Lysi is currently Assistant Zoological Manager of Animal Outreach at the Dallas Zoo. Her capstone will be done with the Pangolin Conservation and Research Foundation in Namibia.
