About

PhD Candidate in Dr. Cory Williams lab.

I am broadly interested in the regulation of appetite, feeding and body weight. I have studied an array of organisms ranging from shrimp, crab, fish, and now rodents. All my research has fallen under a neuroendocrinological theme; understanding how the brain percieves information, and translate this through specific neuronal populations to drive appetitive behavior. Currently, I am interested in using hibernating ground squirrels as a model to understand seasonal neuroendocrine shifts in appetite and feeding, utilizing molecular and immunoassay methods.
