Dr. Kyle Horton is an assistant professor at Colorado State University in the Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation. His lab studies migratory birds and employs a range of remote sensing tools, including the use of weather surveillance radar data. His seminar will highlight his team’s work uniting these pieces of information to better understand how migrants use nighttime airspaces, determine where and when migrants are impacted by artificial light, and how radar can be used to forecast and mitigate these impacts.
